Students here in the Philippines has a misconception about the Guidance Office. They'll feel anxious whenever they hear that name. Other students are using Guidance Office to blackmail other students. But that was wrong. So what is exactly a Guidance office?

If you want to to talk about certain topics that you can't open up with your parents or friends, you can discuss them to counselors and they'll assure you that what happens on guidance office stays in guidance office. But if you want to commit suicide or kill someone then that's a different story.
My first experience at guidance office was good. They just asked about my life and if I could still cope up with things. I'm glad that schools has this kind of place. No Man is an island so sometimes, there's nothing wrong if you'll talk about your worries openly without that listener judging you.
